#BOTTLES4BEANS Wrap-Up

Well Peeps! It’s been a crazy 2 weeks!

But I am happy to report that today I dropped off our complete Bottles for Beans donations and they totaled over $1110!

You guys are so incredibly amazing and I am so proud to know you all :D

Here’s some pics of the awesome day at Seven Shores!

Here’s how we sort things out on the day of the donation-drop off… we started at 10 and this was the assortment by 10:30!

Much more packed by about 12:30 – then things just got insane. there’s no pictures because it was so busy and awesome and we were busy sorting and loading vehicles and then the U-haul showed up!

The amazing, selfless and talented @obersun loading a 10ft Uhaul FULL of empties! Like… to the brim. Special thanks to @Centre_square for their massive donation. Much Much Much appreciated.

So many thanks to those that helped to hype and help at the event, you all know who you are… but… extra thanks to Debbie, P, Greg, Karl, Amy, Sean & the Seven Shores Team and WalterFedy, Downtown Kitchener BIA, Trevor of Herrle’s and Jeff from Wine Expert for their very generous contributions!

What an amazing year :D

Thanks for being awesome.

Let’s do $2000 next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS. The Food Bank can turn every dollar into about $8… so that’s like an $8000 donation. man, we rule.

Bottles for Beans Drop off day WAS GREAT!

Saturday was so great!

Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who came out to the beautiful new Seven Shores location (Thank you so much Sean and Team! You’re awesome!)  and donated your time, empties, cash or other awesomeness!

Including these by Nom Nom Treats!! Thanks PJ!

We raised $834.09 on Saturday! and that’s not all! I’ve had $160 in cash donations come in over the past couple days! Soooo… we’re at $994.09 SO FAR!

There’s still corporate donations to come in from a few great local orgs this week, and a couple more random drop-offs and pick-ups to make!

We’re going to beat the goal! YAY!!!!!!!!!

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to everyone, AGAIN!

We will be providing over $1000 to the Food Bank of Waterloo Region!

Bottles For Beans 3 – Corporate Challenge is ON!

Last night, RQ got THIS awesome comment on the Bottles for Beans post:

First of all, How AWESOME is that? and Second, of all – WHY AREN’T YOU AND YOUR COMPANY DOING THE SAME THING?

Good Question, I know.

So here – Let me Challenge YOU, RQ Reader, to rally the troops in your office, and begin collecting your empties as a team for Bottles for Beans 3!

You have until Friday December 9th at 5pm to make a team collection, and arrange a pick up from me.

The largest team donation will receive a very special RQ prize – and possibly some awesome snack delivery closer to the Christmas break.

Bottles for Beans 3!!

I’m SO SO SO SO EXCITED for this! The Bottles for Beans drop-off day at Seven Shores Cafe s always a lovely way to spend a Saturday – So come by, drop off your empties, cash or a food donation and we’ll hook you up with a free coffee or tea!

Oh, and this year Seven Shores is doing $2 Egg & Cheese Breakfast sandwiches :D Deeeelicious!

A couple great prizes for the largest donations!

So start saving up! and if you want me to come by and pick them up from your work or home, just leave a comment or drop me an email! Happy to work something out :D

Bottles for Beans RESULTS!

Hey Friends :) It’s been soooo long. I’ve missed you!

This post is one giant THANK YOU to everyone who helped, donated, encouraged others to help or donate with the Bottles for Beans drive this year!

IT WAS INCREDIBLE!

We Raised:

$750.86 in CASH (times that by 8 to get the amount that the foodbank gets in value = $6006!!!)

and

over 86 lbs of FOOD.

You guys are seriously incredible. Made our goal… doubled last years donation.

TOTALLY INCREDIBLE.

Love you guys – Hope you all had an amazing amazing amazing holiday season and wicked awesome New Years.

PS> Extremely special thank you shout-outs to:

CUTE GECKO (Amy & Karl) for their time and energy creating the poster and logo AND for sticking it out in the cold sorting bottles with me for most of the day! Not to mention a crazy donation, that included an empty KEG. You guys rule.

And, P, Ruby, Patrick, Greg, Kim and Chels for all helping to take back the empties to the beer store – it’s a grueling job, so it’s nice when many people volunteer to help.

AND… To Brock & Emily, Tim Jackson and Family and Gavin F for donations that went above and beyond the call of duty :)

And, last but not least – SEVEN SHORES! Amy and Sean – thanks for letting us invade the cafe once again and hyping everyone up on delicious free coffee : )
