I’ve been slacking on the blogo huh peeps?

Sorry… here’s what my weeks been like:

The other day I went to go have a peek around the @TreehausCW Co-Work Space that they share with CTT.

Holy awesomeness Batman, this place is gorgeous, look at the washroom – it’s so cute!

and the kitchen! weirdo braille wall = love.

They had some tasty treats including these hilarious candy kebobs that Bry and I couldn’t resist.

Then last night I was at the UW School of Architecture in Cambridge and there was this giant cyclops eyeball in the foyer. It’s promoting an upcoming event… called The Cyclops. Show is on Friday July 30 and Saturday July 31, 2010. Details are HERE.

And then, my parents picked up their new pup. Ah, hello one of the cutest things ever:

Tonight – CINQ A SEPT!

IF you knit, you could help Cambridge set a new world record this Saturday….

FOR THE MOST PEOPLE KNITTING SIMULTANEOUSLY.

Saturday, June 19, 8 a.m.-12noon (record attempt will be at 10:30am)

Civic Square, Downtown Cambridge

Rain or shine – we will relocate into city hall in the case of inclement weather

Here’s the details:

You must be ready to knit in Civic Square beside Cambridge City Hall with two straight knitting needles by 10:30am. Please come before 10:30am to receive an official participant certificate and find spot to knit. After some brief presentations and a countdown we will all knit together for 15 minutes. Any non-knitters will be asked to exit the knitting area for this short time period so the final count is as accurate as possible. Bring a chair as there will only be a limited number available.

Sue Sturdy is the Artist-in-Residence in Cambridge for 2010. She’s most interested in Galt, Hespeler & Preston for their deep history in the textile industry, including the manufacturing of knitwear.

Part of Sturdy’s programming includes “KNIT CamBRIDGE”
Here’s the description from the Cambridge Arts site:

Knitters from the community and beyond are invited to contribute their knitting to the creation of a collaborative, large scale piece of outdoor public art – the covering the Main Street Bridge in knitting! After the knitting is taken down it will be cleaned, sewn and
serged into blankets and scarves for donation to charity. Some items will also be auctioned off with proceeds going to worthwhile causes. Be a part of this wonderful project and start knitting!

To get involved and contribute your knitting to this project, CLICK HERE.

Not sure what the deadline to submit is, but I’ve got an email over to them, keep you posted.
