Last weekend was crazy busy…. like, insanity.
Saturday during the day was Culture Camp which was a smaller group than usual but super great time. We started the day off with a design challenge:
use this strip of masking tape, 5 pieces of dry spaghetti a string, and a marshmallow to make the tallest freestanding structure possible, with the marshmallow ON TOP. Here’s what it could look like -kind of a little moon landing type structure.
Then, this is what it looks like if you have a complete engineering fail (the team: karl, amy, cheryl, ramy and me), oops!
Ah Well, we were more productive when we got out into the sunshine with some mural paper and some markers. working out the problems of the world my friends… you just wait.
Saturday nightVACUITY played MAXWELL’S 2nd ANNIVERSARY PARTY and it was a hilariously great night with a lot of the cinq a sept crowd.
As some of you may have read, this was also my own self-declared “re-entry to normal society” party – so there was a lot of beer all around.
Happy Anniversary Paul and Dave!
And, potentially the best photo capture OF the night:
Ramy, thank you for loving to take photos… so that I don’t have to.
Sunday during the day was a bit of a rest up, hit the sunshine for a bit, then had a nap, but then it was off to ARTBAR for their CLOSING PARTY. So. FUCKING. Sad.
But such a great night. Some Rapper from Brampton named CHUCK ICE – omg. live hip hop shows are ridiculous. Especially when the next act is Vacuity ;) Variety is the spice of life, right?
Was great to spend the last night at artbar getting drunk and nostalgic before my first day back to work. little rough to say the least.
Alli and Steph – we better still see each other, sheesh.
And then the night finished off with a Vacuity Dance Party – not too shabby.
Time to rest up for next weekend.
H.
