Here’s the details people, it’s a 2-parter!
First, for those who are inclined and able to secure a spot (see below), there is the “From Farmhouse to Table” cooking glass at the Kitchener Market. Once the class is over, we will make our way to Kitchener City Hall to check out the sites, sounds and vibes of KW Urban Culture 2010.

The class runs from 10:30 – 11:15 at the Kitchener Market. It is free, but you must register to secure a spot. There are only 40 spots (for everyone, not just n.b.), so pop here to go through the registration hoops.

It’s been a while in the making, but the Magnetic North Theatre Festival is happening this month.
Starting June 9 – and running everyday until the 19th… there’s a ton of events, parties, shows and activity all over town. There’s gotta be SOMETHING you’d like to check out.
You can check out the full Magnetic North site HERE, but on to make things easy for you.
Nu Berlin is going to be attending a show on Saturday. here’s the details.
The Show is HOMAGE.
It’s about : An advertising executive takes a risk, leaves his job and tries his hand at art. His first commission: a public sculpture for a town’s central square, a monumental installation inspired by Stonehenge and built out of red Canadian cedar. Thirty years later, he has become one of the country’s most successful public sculptors and his work is featured in textbooks on Canadian art. Yet, as his health fails and he is left with an uncertain prognosis, the town decides to demolish his seminal work.
When? Saturday June 12, 2pm. But, get there at 1pm.
Where? Conrad Centre for the Performing Arts - beside the children’s museum.
How Much? Well, we know you’re a little bit scared of theatre, so it’s Pay What You Can to get into the show. Saying that. We can’t guarantee we’ll get it, so let’s get there at 1pm and get a seat.
Go HERE And RSVP.
Thanks! See you Saturday!

Just catching up on some old posts, here’s some awesome photos from Ramy of the Nu Berlin James Bond Symphony Night!
Such a great time – music was unbelievable and it was such a great time at Artbar.
Yes, we did get all dressed up and act like idiots – I mean when do you get to do shit like this as an adult unless you really make an effort?
Here’s the girls:

Here’s some of the Boys – a couple martinis in to the night ;)

Bryan mixing up some drinks – shaken not stirred OBVI.

Oh yeah, and before all the silliness, we actually watched the Symphony perform. My personal fav was them doing the theme song to Austin Powers, written by Quincy Jones…. but I’m ridiculous like that.
Such a wicked night, if you haven’t been out to a Nu Berlin event yet, hopefully this’ll make you want to check out the next one!
Stay tuned for details on that by the way.

Hey peeps!
So, I appear to be coming around and can actually be coherent for more than 5 minutes… and i can walk around without looking like the Hunchback of Notre Dame… so I thought I’d post a little hello.
And, that while on the bend I watched the Drew Barrymore’s flick “Whip It” allll about Roller Derby. Prepping for the next nu berlin event … which is happening this Saturday April 10th in New Hamburg! Tix are $10 in advance, $12 at the door… and if you haven’t seen the movie – i suggest you do. You will be psyched for Saturday – and understand some of the rules of Roller Derby.
Couple additions to the Nu Berlin event :
1. We’ll be heading to Chainsaw after, which is the official home of the Tri-City Roller Girls afterparty!
2. GenX will be offering you a free video rental if you mention RQ at their Booth – HELLO!
and 3. We’ll be having one of the TCRG gals on The 100 next week – so stay tuned.
How Happy are you that I’m Dying ANYMORE?????
I’m SO HAPPY.

Advanced tix are $10 from Gen-X Video, Words Worth Books or Encore Records or… pick up tix at the door for $12.
Doors at 6pm. Derby at 7pm and hitting up some country bar for a few beverages afterwards.
Oh yeah, it’s in New Hamburg. hahaahahhaa.
Full details and RSVP HERE.
And no bitching about it being out in the country… msg me or leave a comment on Ideas Transform and we’ll get you a ride.
